This PHENOMINAL ASA NAS Car 4 Day Spectacular is brought to you at Phakisa Freeway from 28/01/2010 to 31/01/2010

The FreeState 500 NAS car race promises to be one of the most spectacular Motor racing events ever seen in South Africa - 24 monstrous V 8’ ASA NAS cars from AMERICA will race around the Phakisa Super oval at speeds in excess of 300km/h for 500km– a mere 3 meters from the front row spectators--- sitting safely behind a safety fence.

BE PART OF THIS AMAZING SPECTACLE. The setting up and initial practices start on Thursday the 28th with qualifying rounds on Friday and Saturday leading to 1;00pm on Sunday 31st when all the competitors will hear those famous words: Ladies and Gentlemen: START your ENGINES YES Ladies—because AMERICAN sensation Tiffany Daniels will be in her car on the grid as well --wanting to show the boys a thing or two about SPEED!

The organizers of the FREESTATE 500 are looking for thirty girls to be part of this spectacle and to Crown a MISS FREESTATE 500 and two princesses. All 30 finalists will win amazing prizes and be transported to the finals in Welkom , where they will be accommodated with meals –free of charge. MISS FREE STATE 500---2010 will receive an all expenses paid trip to the USA for two and visit the amazing Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The first and second princesses will receive wonderful prizes including five laps around the Phakisa oval in an ASA NAS car with DAYTONA 500 winner Geoff Bodine at the wheel—and the same for a partner of her choice! After the entries close regional selections will take place with the QUARTER FINALS being held in Krugerdorp and the Semi Finals will take place in Parys.

Then MISS FREE STATE 500 will be crowned at a TELEVISED gala banquet in WELKOM on Friday night January 29th 2010. On Sunday 31st ALL 30 finalists will be on the GRID at the start of the race in front of an estimated crowd of 25,000 fans --with TV cameras filming to beam the event to MILIONS of viewers around the world. RULES OF THE COMPETITION

  1. Applicants must:

    a) be at least 18 years of age & not older than 25 years of age on 25 December 2009;
    b) be in possession of a matric certificate or equivalent qualification;
    c) not be married & never had a marriage annulled;
    e) never have given birth and not be pregnant;
    f) must be taller than 1.68m, height measurements to be accurate as entrants will be
    measured, false information will lead to disqualification;
    g) have no criminal record;
    h) the Terms and Conditions of the Miss Free Sate 500  pageant is applicable   
    to all Miss Free State 500 entrants;
    i) Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into;
    l) An administration fee of R150.00 (ZAR) or equivalent thereof must accompany your entry form.

  2. NB:
    All Miss Free State 500 regional finalists and finalists will be required to attend engagements and perform a limited number of engagements. She will therefore not be eligible to enter another national competitions simultaneously except with the written permission from the organiser’s.

  3. The new Miss Free State 500 will remain contracted to the ASA Racing South Africa (Pty) Ltd to perform engagements and community related projects until 31 December 2010, subject to a maximum of 15 days per year.

  4. CRITERIA: The following documentation must be scanned and needs to accompany your ENTRY FORM:

    • A copy of your birth certificate, ID book or passport 
    • Two recent A4 colour photographs (one head & shoulders, one full length) dressed appropriately 
    • Matric certificate
    • Proof of payment of entry fee.
